Hello, I'm a Belgian visual creator. I was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and currently live and work in Brussels. Welcome to my universe
Among many other projects/series, I'm the inventor of "Pencil vs Camera", " Digital Circlism" and "Flesh and Acrylic" I have a degree in journalism. I also briefly studied painting and sculpture but I'm mainly a self-taught artist in drawing and photography. I have now 8 years of professional experience as a graphic creator.
What is Pencil vs Camera?
"Pencil Vs Camera" is nothing but the result of a long graphic exploration and a logic consequence of my artistic evolution. It's a new concept. My primary intention was to create a "battle field" between 2 disciplines: drawing and photography, mixing imagination and reality. The only boundary is my own perception of the world. It's a very exciting project because I can share "pieces of dreams" with the world through illusion and surrealism. I like to focus on architecture, portraits, and animals. Among many others, the main themes approached in "Pencil Vs Camera" are love and friendship. My hand is always clearly visible. That was a difficult choice but it emphasizes the intimate connection between the viewer and the action happening on the piece of paper.
What is Digital Circlism?
It is a modern artistic expression, a mix of Pop Art and Pointillism. It is made with digital tools usually featuring celebrities made of thousands of flat circles on a black background. Almost each circle has a different color, a different size and a different tone. It generally takes between 100 and 180 hours for a single portrait.
