My name is Joshua Libatique. (“Lib-ah-teek”) I was born and raised in San Francisco, California.

I love art. At school, I’d get in trouble for turning in my math homework with superheroes drawn between the equations. My father, an artist by trade, encouraged me to keep drawing – just not on my homework. I spent the next decade sketching, drawing and painting. After high school, I took college classes in design and color theory, and worked as a web designer and freelance graphic artist.

I became absorbed with Photography, and learned the science and art behind the craft. I invested in the tools to create my vision. Eventually, I found that I really liked shooting people. (I need to find a better way to say that.) I’m a romantic, a poet, and I love people in love. Portrait and Wedding Photography were a natural fit. In just my first few years, I did over fifty weddings in seven states across the United States and internationally.

My clients have always been primarily word of mouth. I am truly grateful to have been a part of so many memorable events, and to have made so many awesome friends around the world.
